Born and raised in Nanaimo, owner Janine Slater has been practicing locally since 2004.  She has a unique combination of training, being Nanaimo’s only physiotherapist who is also a certified hand therapist (CHT).

CHT is an internationally recognized specialization in the treatment of injuries from the hand to the shoulder, including fabrication of custom splints.

Janine is passionate about providing quality one-on-one treatments that allow her clients to understand their injuries and quickly get back to their normal activities.

She has a strong commitment to continued learning, and her treatments reflect the post graduate certifications she has achieved in a variety of areas including manual therapy and acupuncture.

Following a thorough assessment, treatments may include education, exercises, manual therapy, wound care, scar management, custom splint fabrication, casting to mobilize stiffness, and interventions to manage edema and pain.
